A wide fence with a gate in it, gives access to the parking area. Three to four cars can be parked here easily. From here you can walk -and even drive up even further- to the Villa.
The following photos of the patios, front area of the villa and the garden do NOT represent the current looks of the garden an patio's. As mentioned in the OPEN AND HONEST disclaimer section, they were taken when the villa had permanently occupation, during which the patios and hillside were taken care of and the garden was well watered. Our parents lived here almost permanently. After the died, we were not able to go to the house very often and long enough to keep the status quo. From experience we know however that once the villa will be inhabited again, with some care, effort and love, all will soon look again as seen here.
Behind the wall that shelters the parking area, and between this space and the front of the villa where the master bedroom is located, a private and sheltered patio has been created. An open metal frame allows for the attachment of drapes, providing shade on hot sunny days and adding a cozy atmosphere when desired. Along the side walls, authentic tools and utensils discovered in the original old cueva are displayed, evoking a sense of history and paying tribute to the people who once lived here long ago. Built-in planters add a touch of greenery, enhancing the ambiance. A charming and playful detail is the large-scale checkerboard pattern integrated into the patio’s floor tiles, adding character and a unique visual element to the space. In the far corner, a discreet toolshed completes this pleasant retreat, offering practical storage while maintaining the peaceful atmosphere.
From the parking area, a private patio is located on the left, adjacent to the master bedroom. The entrance follows, with a view of the living room featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Next is the central patio with a glass windscreen, situated between the living room, second cueva, and kitchen. At the rear, a patio provides access to the rooftop terrace and the hill behind the cuevas.
In the center of the property, the villa is connected to the second cueva by a patio enclosed with a wide glass screen. Even on windy or cooler days, this space offers a pleasant spot to sit, enjoy the sun, and take in the panoramic views without any obstruction.
At the far end of the property, where the building concludes, there is a third patio. From here, a staircase provides access to the hillside under which the cuevas are carved. This area also offers access to the roof for maintenance purposes.
